Fall Term 2024 登记 and 添加/删除 Information

This page contains important information regarding Fall Term 2024 登记 and their respective add/drop periods. Please read the information thoroughly. 

Fall Term 2024 登记​​​​​

登记 将 take place on the following days:

  • 老年人 = 05/06
    • Class standing determination: 90.00+ 课程 完成
  • 初中 = 05/07
    • Class standing determination: 60.00-89.99 课程 完成
  • 二年级的学生 = 05/08
    • Class standing determination: 30.00-59.99 课程 完成
  • 新生 = 05/09
    • Class standing determination: 0.00–29.99 学分 完成

In preparation for Spring 2024 registration, make sure you have received approval from your advisor first. Otherwise, you 将 不 be able allowed register. 请检查 GaelXpress to make sure you don't have any holds (i.e. Business Office, Health Center, 注册商, etc.) during the week as this 将 prevent you from registering for classes.

添加/删除

The add/drop period is Monday, August 26th through Friday, September 1st. All add/drop must be 完成 by the end of 周日晚上11点59分.m. 你必须获得 “添加授权” from the course instructor in order to enroll yourself in the class. 

你是 不 officially registered in the course until you receive “添加授权” from your professor and you have enrolled yourself in the course and it appears on your schedule in GaelXpress.

GaelXpress - Online 服务

GaelXpress gives you access to your information online. SMC students may view and print their schedules, unofficial transcripts and academic evaluations using GaelXpress.  

Independent Studies and Internships

For the Fall 2024 Term, students must file the form for an independent study or internship by Sunday, September 1st.  The form must be filled out completely and submitted online by the student. The Office of the 注册商 将 forward the form to the appropriate instructor and department chair. *Failure to submit the form online by the deadline 将 result in the form being returned to the student and the petition denied.*

The Office of the 注册商 needs your current address and phone number.  If you have moved or changed your phone number, please 不ify the Office of the 注册商 immediately.

Withdrawal 政策 regarding 金融援助

Any student withdrawing from the College during the first 60% of the term 将 only be entitled to the percentage of Title IV financial aid equal to the percentage of time actually 完成 in the term.  例如, a student completing 40% of the term 将 get to keep only 40% of their federal aid, even though the tuition charged may be 100%.  The date of the withdrawal, used to calculate the percent of the time the student was enrolled, is the date that the student begins the withdrawal process.  Questions about the applicable federal regulations should be directed to the 金融援助 Office at x4370.
